Is your drain running a little slow?

Here’s a quick fix that’s inexpensive, easy on the planet and won’t harm your pipes or sink.

Simply pour 1/2 a cup of dry baking soda into the drain. Don’t worry if some of it sits on the outside of the drain opening. Then pour 1 cup of plain white vinegar into the drain. The fizzing action will clear minor clogs. Rinse with some boiling water. Repeat as often as necessary.

This solution really works but, if you have a stubborn clog or a lot of standing water, you’ll need a good chemical drain cleaner like Draino or Liquid Plumber.
